 Kumarkhali Correspondent: One person was injured in a clash between two groups of Awami League over the nomination of the chairman of the management committee of Kumarkhali Panti Secondary Girls School in Kushtia. Zahid Hossain Zafar, former president of the school and co-president of Kushtia district Awami League, allegedly beat up a group and injured a former UP member from Panti Bazar on Sunday afternoon.

 

Injured Enamul Haque is a former UP member of Panti Union Parishad's 5th ward and current president of Panti Madhyamik Balika Vidyalaya and a supporter of AHM Abdullah Tipu Mia Group, president of Union Awami League. Injured former UP member Enamul Haque said, while sitting in front of Panti raw market at noon, IC of Panti camp came with 1 constable. At that time 13/14 people including Shariful, Saiful, Ashraful, Milon, Gopal, Kamal and Shahid came on 5 motorcycles and started beating him and hit him with bricks and broke his head. Later, with the help of police, he was admitted to Kumarkhali Upazila Health Complex. He was given 7 stitches on his head. In this regard, Kumarkhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (in-charge) Inspector Rakib Hasan said that the chase between the two groups has been going on since the former president was chained on March 30 and the current president was chained. Forty policemen are on regular patrol day and night. Meanwhile, the former member was injured. The situation is currently under control. Legal action will be taken if a complaint is lodged.
